2023 Lexus RX teased again ahead of June 1 reveal

Significantly less than a working day before its expose, Lexus has offered us another temporary appear at the fifth-generation RX SUV in a collection of shadowy quick looping teaser films.

As formerly confirmed, Lexus ideas to globally unveil the new RX on June 1, at 10AM AEST.

Louisiana man charged in Alabama crash that killed woman riding on back of motorcycle

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a man from Louisiana on charges related to a fatal crash in St. Clair County Sunday night.

According to ALEA, authorities arrived near mile marker 150 along I-20 just outside of Pell City on reports of a two-vehicle crash just before 5:45 p.m. Sunday. During the investigation, troopers discovered that a motorcycle and a Nissan Altima were involved in the crash.

Authorities say the Altima struck the motorcycle from the back which led to the crash. Deborah and Garry Barrett were on the motorcycle when the collision happened. Deborah Barrett, 62, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Garry Barrett, 63, was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Nevada-based Findlay Automotive takes over former Larry Miller dealerships

Two Spokane car dealerships, Larry H. Miller Toyota and Lexus, have been purchased by Nevada-based Findlay Automotive Group, which has a history in the area.

The sale is the second since Larry H. Miller Group decided in 2021 to get out of the car sales business. In September , the company started by the late Miller, a onetime owner of the Utah Jazz, sold its 61 dealerships to Atlanta-based Asbury Automotive Group for $3.2 billion.

Findlay, based in Henderson, Nevada, this year purchased the Toyota and Lexus dealerships at 1128 W. Third Ave., which have a history regarding vacated city streets and demolished historic buildings.

The deal with Asbury closed on March 31, said Tyler Corder, Findlay’s chief financial officer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bike riders ask for prayers and laws to make streets safer

Yet another bicyclist was killed in Queensbury as the Albany Bicycle Coalition was planning a prayer vigil imploring God to protect bicyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians navigating the Capital Region.

This most recent collision between a Chevy Impala and man on a motorized bike scattered ebike parts along Quaker Road.

At Pine Grove United Methodist last week on busy Central Avenue (an especially nerve-racking road for cyclists with its multiple lanes of zooming vehicles), the coalition read the names of dozens of bicyclists and pedestrians killed.

Coalition President Ed Brennan thinks most vehicle-bike collisions may occur due factors like distracted drivers—or cyclists–or speeding and intersection blind spots. But others die in what he calls “road violence.” He sees reflections of our era’s enraged conflict over values reflected on the road. And a hefty vehicle can transform some people who are having a rough day into bullies or “monsters,” he noted.
