Bruce Springsteen admitted to drinking two shots before DWI arrest, court document says

When Bruce Springsteen was arrested in November on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at a national park in New Jersey, an officer said the rock icon failed two sobriety tests and admitted to drinking two shots of tequila.

Those details are outlined in a probable cause statement filed in federal court that sheds new light on Springsteen’s Nov. 14 arrest at Gateway National Recreation Area, also known as Sandy Hook.

Springsteen and his attorneys have not commented on the incident.

According to the statement, the officer saw Springsteen take one shot of tequila before getting on his motorcycle and starting the engine. The officer told Springsteen alcohol was prohibited at Sandy Hook, and then noticed a 750-milliliter Patron bottle was empty, the statement said. California crash leaves highway officer, tow truck driver injured; DUI suspect arrested: reports

A California Highway Patrol officer and a tow truck driver were both seriously injured in Southern California on Thursday morning when a suspected drunken driver reportedly caused a freeway crash.

According to authorities, the driver of a Nissan was speeding westbound on Interstate 10 near downtown Los Angeles around 10:30 a.m. when the vehicle hit the officer’s motorcycle, which was parked near the center median while the officer was helping clear an earlier crash.

After Motorcycle Crash, Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba Carries On

In June of 2020, emo-mainstay and Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba took a motorcycle ride to clear his head. On a rarely traveled country road, not far from his home in Tennessee, the songwriter lost traction, propelling himself and his bike into a ditch.

At first, it was hard to tell if he’d been seriously injured. It was clear that he’d bit through his lip, but appeared generally unscathed in his protective jacket, padded pants and helmet.

A lifelong rider, Carrabba had been involved in a few accidents before. This time—as he tried to regain his composure and remove his Honda dirt bike from the hole—he attributed the pain to what he thought was a broken rib.

It wasn’t until after his ambulance arrived at Vanderbilt University Medical

Motorcycle, ATVs stolen from Rocky Mount store ::

— Twin County Motorsports in Rocky Mount sells everything from ATVs to RVs. Owner Lance Cherry says on Tuesday night someone broke in and stole at least $50,000 in merchandise.

“You get that bad feeling because you know you work and you try to build something, and then all of the sudden somebody just comes in overnight and takes it away,” he said.

Cherry says the criminals spent hours at the store and even made several trips back, loading everything onto a trailer.

“They took stuff still in the boxes. They loaded up trailers. They made two trips here,” he says, “I guess it’s easy the second time – everything was already broken into – you just had to walk in and out.”

Cherry owns two other locations in New Bern and Greenville. He says he’s invested thousands of
