A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was killed while pursuing a traffic stop Thursday morning when a car struck his motorcycle in Lakewood, authorities said.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at an afternoon news conferencethat Deputy Thomas J. Albanese was headed north on Paramount Boulevard pursuing another car when he was killed in the busy intersection of Del Amo and Paramount boulevards. A woman heading west on Del Amo Boulevard in a Mercedes Benz collided with Albanese, Villanueva said

“The force of the collision, which was, it was extreme, it basically it threw him at a distance from the collision. He died instantaneously on impact,” Villanueva said.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 bookings open in India

Kawasaki dealers have commenced the bookings for the BS6-compliant Ninja 300 in the Indian market. While the Japanese manufacturer is yet to list the motorcycle on its India website, the company has revealed two more colour options. The design features, retained from the BS4 model, include a twin-pod headlight at the front, fairing integrated front blinkers, a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, and a chrome heatshield on the exhaust. The cycle parts, similar to the BS4 version, include telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS.

Triumph Motorcycle has introduced the Street Twin Gold Line along with its updated, 2021 modern classic range.

The Street Twin Gold Line, like its name suggests, is based on the standard Street Twin. However, it gets a Matt Sapphire Black paint that is unique to the motorcycle along with hand-painted gold striping on the fuel tank and side panels. It also gets gold rim tape. Furthermore, the colour scheme also incorporates a graphite-finish that runs off-centre along the tank and features the retro Triumph logo and ‘Gold Line’ decal.
