A motorcyclist died Saturday night after a suspected DUI crash in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.The motorcyclist was riding a BMW S1000 motorcycle southbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 10:27 p.m., when he stopped in a left-turn lane for a red light at Franklin Boulevard.The other driver involved in the crash, 23-year-old Alonso Gonzalez Moreno, was driving a 2002 Chevy Tahoe northbound on Franklin Boulevard at speeds from 80 to 90 mph, CHP said.When the light turned green for the man on the motorcycle, he entered the intersection, but Moreno failed to stop at his red light, officials said.The right front of the Chevy hit the motorcycle, causing the rider to be ejected, CHP said.The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene by personnel with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.Moreno told officers he had been driving home from picking up food and admitted to having alcohol earlier in the evening. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUI, CHP said.Moreno was not hurt in the crash.
