OAK HARBOR — A night of roping, bull riding and barrel racing translated into a packed grandstand Thursday, as the Ottawa County Truthful hosted the Rafter M. Rodeo.

Zak Avers, Ottawa County’s honest board president, said the superior attendance quantities for the rodeo continued a trend this week of far better-than-common turnout at most of the fair’s situations.

Avers approximated amongst 1,800 and 2,000 individuals attended the rodeo.

The Ottawa County Fair hosted the Rafter M. Rodeo Thursday evening at the fair's grandstand area. The rodeo included calf roping, bull riding and barrel racing. .

He claimed it was the 1st calendar year Rafter M. Rodeo experienced held a display at the fair.

The Ottawa County Truthful has hosted other rodeo organizations in the past, such as the Damaged Horn Rodeo for 3 several years.

“We test to change it up to hold it clean for our viewers,” Avers explained.

Ottawa County’s 58th Once-a-year Fair got underway Monday with 4-H animal judging, an night Grande Parade and the crowning of the fair’s Jr. king and queen.

Calf roping was one of the highlights of the Ottawa County Fair's Thursday lineup when it hosted the Rafter M. Rodeo in the grandstand area. The rodeo also included bull riding and barrel racing.

Avers claimed harness racing that was postponed Monday took spot Wednesday early morning, with a couple of keep track of records set at the function.

He explained Wednesday evening’s Autocross also made a superior group.

The fair’s midway filled up Thursday night time, with visitors also heading to see the band Haywire following the rodeo, Avers explained.

Friday highlights included livestock sales in the morning and the Twisted Metallic Demolition Derby at 7 p.m.
