Following a lengthy working day on the highway, we created it to Riverside, California. I’m fatigued, thrilled and a little bit overcome. Why? This weekend, I’ll be racing at The Race of Gentlemen’s Southern California Drags in my Design A roadster. I’ve lined T.R.O.G. on equally coasts, but this is the initial time I’ll be proper in the center of the motion. I can not wait around.
By natural means, drag racing has been on my intellect for the earlier several weeks. It seems as if it is usually popping up in my queries and buzzing around my head devoid of any sign of slowing down. And when I was scanning my area Craigslist, I came across a levels of competition equipment that is also good not to share.
The listing is for a “Ford Model T drag racer,” but that doesn’t even begin to tell the story. The advert also involves a quick description.
“Ford T roadster metal on 1932 rails (sic), crafted in the late 1940s, 299-inch flathead, 1939 Ford transmission, won 1984 Nostalgia Nationals at Baylands with a 12.12 dial-in, so highlighted on the 1985 NN poster. Spares, shots obtainable or search in Hemmings Motor Information.”
While the advertisement confuses a Product A frame with a 1932 frame, I’d like to feel the relaxation is precise. What about it is 1940s? I’m not particularly certain. That apart, the entire setup is extremely-regular. I wish another person would have scooped it up to race at the drags this weekend. It appears to be like a solid runner, and I hope to see it out on the observe one particular working day.
