Phoenix man arrested for lethal motorcycle fight

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for homicide after a fight over his motorcycle turned deadly outside a Phoenix residence.

PHOENIX — Authorities have arrested a Phoenix man on suspicion of fatally stabbing someone who attempted to ride off on his motorcycle.  

Christoph Holsclaw, 23, was taken into custody on Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed and killed an unidentified man on July 25 outside a residence on Rose Garden Lane in north Phoenix. 

According to Phoenix Police, video surveillance captured Holsclaw arguing with the victim in the street as the victim attempted to get on a motorcycle. The suspect then allegedly stabbed the victim in the back, causing him to fall to the ground. 

Holsclaw was seen jumping on the motorcycle and driving away from the scene, according to a police report. 

The victim died at the hospital and authorities have not released his identity.

California Tesla Driver Arrested While Riding In Backseat

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A motorist was arrested after an officer observed him in the backseat of a Tesla traveling on a San Francisco Bay Area freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.

Param Sharma, 25, was arrested for alleged reckless driving and disobeying a peace officer, the highway patrol said in a statement Tuesday.

Multiple 911 calls Monday evening reported a person seated in the backseat of a Tesla Model 3 without anyone in the driver’s seat while the vehicle traveled on Interstate 80 across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

A highway patrol motorcycle officer spotted the Tesla, confirmed the solo occupant was in the backseat, took action to stop the car and saw the occupant move to the driver’s seat before the car stopped, said the statement from the highway patrol, known as CHP.

Man shot during meetup to sell motorcycle in High Point; suspect arrested, charged with attempted murder

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man was arrested after a meetup to sell a motorcycle turned into an attempted murder investigation, according to High Point police.

At about 12:38 a.m. Friday, a police officer was flagged down on the 1700 block of Westchester Drive during a routine patrol.

The person said he had been shot, and officers found a gunshot wound on the victim’s upper back/neck area.

While adjusting his hoodie to show the wound, a bullet fell out onto the ground.

Police say the victim had gone to a home on Welborn Street to sell his motorcycle. While he was there, one of the people at the home recognized him and became aggressive.

The attacker, identified as Millard H. Elswick, 32, of Burlington, used a gun to pistol whip the victim’s face and head.
