
Aiken man dies after motorcycle crash; crash under investigation

COLUMBIA, S.C.
A 54-year-old Aiken man died after crashing his motorcycle Sunday morning, according to a statement from the Aiken County coroner.
Billy J. Hallman was pronounced dead at Augusta University Medical Center at 12:25 p.m. Monday.
Hallman crashed his motorcycle at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday on Wheat Road near Redds Branch Road in Aiken, according to the coroner’s office. Hallman ran off the right side of the road, lost control and crashed.
The coroner’s office is still investigating the incident and is waiting the results of a toxicology analysis. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also investigating the crash.
