Ocala motorcycle club ride ends in tragedy when 80-year-old rider dies in crash

ANTHONY — An 80-year-old motorcycle rider was killed and another rider, age 74, was injured late Tuesday morning when they crashed in a rural section of northeast Marion County.

The Florida Highway Patrol no longer includes names in its news releases. The agency only gave the men’s ages and said both were from Ocala.

The motorcycles – one riding in front of the other – were westbound on Northeast 90th Street Road about a mile east of Baseline Road (State Road 35/Northeast 58th Avenue.)

Wellington man, 24, dies after motorcycle collides with Porsche outside Walmart in Royal Palm Beach

ROYAL PALM BEACH — A 24-year-old Wellington man died Tuesday morning after his motorcycle collided with a Porsche outside the Walmart Supercenter in Royal Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Paramedics declared Tavian J. O’Brien dead at the scene, according to a PBSO crash report.

Oklahoma woman dies after motorcycle crashes with vehicle

CREEK COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – A Kellyville, Okla., woman died in a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle.

Chancie Nuytens, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Oklahoma 33 eastbound, just west of South 193rd West Avenue, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 9:37 p.m. Tuesday. OHP officials identified Nuytens on Friday.

She was a passenger on a 1982 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by a 45-year-old Kellyville man. The collision also involved a 2015 GMC Yukon driven by a 64-year-old Tulsa man.

The collision is under investigation. Information about how the crash occurred has not yet been released.

Motorcyclist dies in crash on Highway 118 near Somis

A motorcycle rider died in a crash on Highway 118 east of Somis that closed the route for about 2 hours Wednesday morning.

The two-vehicle accident was reported around 6:30 a.m. east of Sand Canyon Road, said Officer Ryan Ayers of the California Highway Patrol’s Moorpark office. The area is generally east of Somis Road, also known as Highway 34.

Responding personnel found the motorcycle rider lying in the traffic lanes and immediately started CPR, Ayers said. The man, described as a Camarillo resident in his 50s, died at the scene. His name was not immediately released pending notification of family.

The collision involved the rider’s Harley-Davidson and a Ford Escort, Ayers said. A woman believed to be in her 30s was driving the car, he said.

The CHP’s initial investigation determined both vehicles had been traveling eastbound on the 118 at the time.
