The report said O’Brien was traveling east on Belvedere Road at about 8 a.m. when he changed lanes near State Road 7 and accelerated to pass another vehicle.
The move took O’Brien’s Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle into the path of a 2015 Porsche that had been westbound on Belvedere and was turning south into the Walmart parking lot, according to PBSO. The motorcycle struck the Porsche’s passenger side.
The report does not indicate the Porsche driver is facing charges in the wreck. PBSO said he reported no injuries.
The report does not say how fast either vehicle was traveling at the time of the crash.
