Service arrangements have been scheduled for firefighter Brandon Sparks, who died Tuesday in an off-duty accident, said Butler County Incident Management.
According to a release, Sparks, 23 from Hanover Township, was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning in Reilly Township.
Sparks worked at the Ross Township Fire Department for the past five years. He had also served at the Milford Community Fire Department for the past two years.
Sparks was a graduate of Ross High School and earned a degree in Firefighting and EMS from Butler Tech, according to his obituary.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday at the Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road in Ross, from 1 to 5 p.m. Additional parking can be found across the street from the funeral home at Flub’s Ice Cream Shop.
The funeral for Sparks will be held on Monday starting at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, and burial will follow the services at Venice Cemetery, 4033 Layhigh Road in Fairfield.
Sparks is survived by his parents Danny and Laurie Sparks as well as his two children.
According to a Facebook post, a vigil has also been scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. outside of Ross Township Fire Department Station 101, 2565 Cincinnati Brookville Road.
