Woman Plunges To Death From 3rd-Level Parking Lot While Learning To Ride Motorcycle

A woman who was reportedly learning to ride a motorcycle lost control and fell to her death from the third-level parking lot of a California shopping center.

Police were called to Westfield Valencia Town Center in the 24000 block of Town Center Drive at around 5 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, they found that the victim, believed to be in her 20s, had fallen from the mall’s third-level parking lot, KNBC reported

The woman was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire. She was later taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Several people were allegedly teaching the woman how to ride a motorcycle when the incident took place. At one point, she lost control, veered into a wall and flew over the handlebar, the New York Post reported. The woman then plunged onto the ground below.

Motorcycle gang shootout on highway leaves woman near death

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Two motorcycle gang members got into a shootout on a Florida interstate early Friday, leaving a woman riding with the instigator near death from a bullet to the head, authorities said.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Ronald Donovan and other members of the Sin City Deciples motorcycle gang were driving eastbound on Interstate 4 between Tampa and Orlando shortly after midnight when members of the Thug Riders passed them.

Judd said that offended Donovan, 38, who opened fire on the Thug Riders, hitting one in the back and causing a running gun battle at speeds of 100 mph (160 kph). The wounded rider, whose name was not released, returned fire, hitting Donovan’s passenger in the head, Judd said. He said the woman, 33, is not expected to survive.

Oklahoma City motorcycle community mourns friend’s death after crash

DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) – A motorcycle community is mourning the loss of their friend after he died following a fatal motorcycle accident.

“It’s a total different look at life, being on the back of a bike,” Stephanie Tierney told KFOR.

It was on the back of a bike where Tierney lost her best friend, Jason Silva, back on Aug. 22.

“He wouldn’t want anyone to stop riding just because of what happened to him. He would want everyone to keep doing what they love doing,” Tierney said.

It happened at the stop sign at Reno and Sunnylane.

“He turned on to Sunnylane. We kept going straight and, maybe about 3/4s of a mile, a vehicle pulled out on the right hand side there, just pulled out, didn’t see him,”
