One man killed, two women injured in shooting at Birmingham motorcycle club

The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation after a shooting at a motorcycle club in the early morning hours Saturday. Police received a call abut a shooting at the Tru-Riders Motorcycle Club at 905 Reverend Abraham Woods Junior Boulevard just before 1 a.m.When they arrived they found a woman had been shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and took her to UAB Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.During that time, an officer at Birmingham Police headquarters heard a crash in the 1700 block of 1st Avenue North. He found a vehicle had crashed into two parked cars and the driver had been shot.He was identified as 38-year-old Navari Deon Jones of Bessemer. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Jones dead.Officers also learned that another woman had been shot and arrived at UAB Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.Police say their investigators learned that shots were fired after an altercation inside the club.There are no suspects in custody.Anyone with information should contact the B.P.D.
