One man killed, two women injured in shooting at Birmingham motorcycle club

The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation after a shooting at a motorcycle club in the early morning hours Saturday. Police received a call abut a shooting at the Tru-Riders Motorcycle Club at 905 Reverend Abraham Woods Junior Boulevard just before 1 a.m.When they arrived they found a woman had been shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and took her to UAB Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.During that time, an officer at Birmingham Police headquarters heard a crash in the 1700 block of 1st Avenue North. He found a vehicle had crashed into two parked cars and the driver had been shot.He was identified as 38-year-old Navari Deon Jones of Bessemer. Woman injured in crash north of Manhattan

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A woman riding a motorcycle was seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon just north of Manhattan, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 4:32 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of US-24 and K-13 highways. The location was about three miles north of Manhattan, just south of Tuttle Creek Lake.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash occurred when a 2021 Toyota Sienna minivan that had been stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of US-24 and K-13 highways failed to yield the right of way to a 2018 Suzuki motorcycle and a 2014 Kawasaki motorcycle that were traveling west on US-24.

The Toyota drove into the intersection and was struck by both of the motorcycles, the patrol said.

The Toyota stopped in the intersection, while both motorcycles came to rest on their sides in the westbound lanes of US-24.

Thomasville man critically injured after motorcycle crash

A man was critically injured after a motorcycle crash in Thomasville.According to Thomasville police, it happened Saturday around 6:45 p.m., near the intersection of Mendenhall Street and north US-29.Police say a 2007 Honda motorcycle was originally traveling north on Mendenhall Street when it collided with a 2017 Buick Regal traveling north on US 29.The motorcyclist, identified as 37-year-old Bobby Hardison, of Thomasville, was taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The 22-year-old driver of the car Hardison crashed into was not injured.

Motorcycle ride fundraises for injured Phoenix Officer Tyler Moldovan

Hundreds of bikers gathered Saturday morning at American Legion Post 61 in Avondale for a motorcycle ride around the Valley to raise money for the family of Phoenix Police Officer Tyler Moldovan, who was shot multiple times during an early morning police investigation in December.

The motorcycle ride began at the post near Dysart Road and Western Avenue around 10 a.m.

“We actually had a huge turnout. We had originally, just from this post, 251 riders but other riders joined from separate posts. So there was well over 300 riders that came out,” said Jason Emm, president of American Legion Post 61.

Ride raised thousands for Moldovan and family
