Community Health Network, 317 Ryders motorcycle club host vaccine clinic in honor of COVID victim – WISH-TV | Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather

Community Health Network and the 317 Ryders motorcycle clubs are coming together to host a vaccine clinic in honor of Juan “DJ Whip” Pyle.

He’s the former president of the 317 Ryders motorcycle club who passed away from COVID-19 before being vaccinated.

William Giles of the 317 Ryders motorcycle club and Nieasha Richardson, Nurse Practitioner for Community Health Network, joined us today to share details about this event. Here’s more from them:

The vaccine clinic is happening October 2 from 2pm to 5pm at Just Wing’N It (7834 N. Michigan Road).

Community Health Network is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of the communities it serves.

Oklahoma City motorcycle community mourns friend’s death after crash

DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) – A motorcycle community is mourning the loss of their friend after he died following a fatal motorcycle accident.

“It’s a total different look at life, being on the back of a bike,” Stephanie Tierney told KFOR.

It was on the back of a bike where Tierney lost her best friend, Jason Silva, back on Aug. 22.

“He wouldn’t want anyone to stop riding just because of what happened to him. He would want everyone to keep doing what they love doing,” Tierney said.

It happened at the stop sign at Reno and Sunnylane.

“He turned on to Sunnylane. We kept going straight and, maybe about 3/4s of a mile, a vehicle pulled out on the right hand side there, just pulled out, didn’t see him,”

Community remembers Muncie couple that died 6 days after suffering severe injuries in motorcycle crash

MUNCIE, Ind. — Six days after a motorcycle crash in Delaware County seriously injured two retired members of local enforcement, a husband and wife, both died as a result of their injuries on the same night.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, retired Muncie Police Department Sgt. Kirk Mace, and his wife Debbie, a recently retired investigator with the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office, were riding their motorcycle on U.S. 35 just southeast of the city, when a pickup truck traveling on Delaware County Road 300 South crossed into their path.

The crash happened just after 4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, according to the sheriff’s office. Both Kirk and Deb were transported via ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, and then flown separately to a hospital in Indianapolis, where they remained until their passing on June 19.
