Two dead in motorcycle in Manchester crash | Public Safety

Two people died in a single-motorcycle crash on Wellington Road in Manchester early Sunday morning, police said.

The driver, a 31-year-old man, and passenger, a 33-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities were not released by police Sunday afternoon.

The crash was the fourth motorcycle fatality in the Queen City in a matter of weeks.

The road remained closed between Currier Drive and Linda Lane for much of the afternoon. The crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. near 1112 Wellington Road, according to a news release.

At the scene, police set up a white tent near the front lawn of the home as they investigated. Around 12:15 p.m., a medical examiner arrived.

“This crash continues to be investigated by the Manchester Police Department,” the news release said.

Moto3 racer Jason Dupasquier dead at 19 following crash in Italy

A professional motorcycle racer from Switzerland has died following a crash Saturday in Italy.

Jason Dupasquier, 19, was hospitalized Saturday after the incident involving multiple riders, which occurred during a Moto3 qualifying session ahead of the Italian Grand Prix race.

His death was announced Sunday by the Florence hospital where he was treated, and the news was shared publicly by the MotoGP organization.

“Despite the best efforts of circuit medical staff and all those subsequently attending to the Swiss rider, the hospital has announced that Dupasquier has sadly succumbed to his injuries,” reads the statement from MotoGP.

“Dupasquier had made an impressive start to his second season in the lightweight class of Grand Prix racing, consistently scoring points and within the top ten in the standings.”

Motorcycle crash leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

RED RIVER PARISH, La. (KSLA) – According to the Louisiana State Police, a fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Friday, May 28, just before 10 p.m.

The incident involved a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on WPA Road, just north of LA Hwy 786.

The initial investigation revealed that a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Kenneth Tilley, 47, of Coushatta, was traveling southbound on WPA Road at a high rate of speed. For reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the motorcycle, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. 

Both Tilley and his passenger, Stephanie Bullock, 39, of Coushatta, were ejected. Both were transported to local hospitals. 

Tilley was not wearing a helmet and suffered fatal injuries. Bullock was not wearing a helmet and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials say impairment and speed are suspected factors in this crash. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis.

One dead another facing life-threatening injuries following motorcycle crash in Waupaca Co.

WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 43-year-old man is dead and a 43-year-old woman is fighting for her life following a motorcycle crash in the City of Waupaca on Saturday night.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, at around 10 p.m., deputies responded to Royalton Street for a report of a motorcycle crash. Officials say their initial investigation discovered that a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Royalton Street when it struck a utility pole.

Authorities report a those involved in the crash included a 43-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman. Officials report the man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead while the woman was airlifted to a local hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries. Her condition remains unknown at this time.
