Watch Tesla Model S Plaid vs. Harley-Davidson e-motorcycle drag race

A Tesla Model S Plaid lined up for a drag race with a Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycle earlier this week in the first known case of this EV matchup.

The race was brought to us by the YouTube Channel Tesla Plaid Channel, whose owner frequently takes his Tesla Model S Plaid to the races.

We’ve actually seen a race between a Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycle and a Tesla before, but last time it was a Tesla Model 3 Performance.

In that case, the LiveWire bested the Model 3, though it was certainly a close race.

This time a LiveWire is taking on a much more powerful Tesla, and it’s doing it on a shorter 1/8th-mile track.

What Do You Think Of This Tesla Motorcycle Concept?

Ash Thorpe, a Californian designer, imagines what a Tesla motorcycle could look like if ever the company decided to build one. In collaboration with Carlos Colorsponge, the new concept is dubbed “The Sokudo.”

Tesla has the Cyber Truck, you know, the truck whose windows cracked during the press launch? Yeah, that guy. This looks like the Cyber Truck’s two-wheeled cousin, with a futuristic look and some very questionable traits. Hey, it’s a concept or rather, an exercise in how not to design a motorcycle for people, I guess? 

It seems like the artists went for a cyberpunk or Cyber Truck-type design with this concept. Thorpe drives a Tesla as well, and that inspired him to create this concept, though he doesn’t ride a two-wheeler himself. That would explain several questionable things about the design.

California Tesla Driver Arrested While Riding In Backseat

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A motorist was arrested after an officer observed him in the backseat of a Tesla traveling on a San Francisco Bay Area freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.

Param Sharma, 25, was arrested for alleged reckless driving and disobeying a peace officer, the highway patrol said in a statement Tuesday.

Multiple 911 calls Monday evening reported a person seated in the backseat of a Tesla Model 3 without anyone in the driver’s seat while the vehicle traveled on Interstate 80 across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

A highway patrol motorcycle officer spotted the Tesla, confirmed the solo occupant was in the backseat, took action to stop the car and saw the occupant move to the driver’s seat before the car stopped, said the statement from the highway patrol, known as CHP.
